What is CORE?
CORE is PMP Associates’ proprietary Earned Value and Project Management software. CORE is built around the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Critical Path Method (CPM) Scheduling. The system is suitable for use in any industry where time and money are project concerns.
The objective of CORE is twofold:
- Critical Project Information –present multiple views (reports, graphs, dashboards, etc) of cost and time related project metrics, which otherwise would not be readily available in the project schedule or accounting system.
- Accessibility –“On-demand” delivery of critical project metrics to all team members and management regardless of location or previous knowledge of the project. CORE’s ease of use, setup, price point, and ability to supplement existing project management programs makes it an affordable, feasible addition to any project or portfolio, regardless of size or industry.
CORE provides a number of key metrics, which are just a click away and include:
- Planned vs. Actual Progress
- Planned vs. Actual Manpower
- Change management and subsequent change in schedule/ plan execution
- Period & Cumulative Cost Performance Index (CPI) & Schedule Performance Index (SPI)
- Estimate to Complete (ETC) & Estimate at Complete (EAC) calculations both for man-hours and dollars
- Earned Schedule (ES) and time to complete forecasting
- Record of P6 activity updates, productivity, & change impact
- As-built historical data for dispute resolution or comparative analysis
