Professional services within these work scopes include:

  • Contract Review – includes review of contract language, specifically areas of cost, schedule, change orders, and breach/ termination.
  • Engineering Estimate/ Deliverables Review – includes review of engineering man-hour estimates for all phases of engineering, review of issued for construction (IFC) dates, review of procurement strategy, material/ equipment availability and delivery method to site, permit requirements, etc.
  • Construction Estimate Feasibility/ Constructability – includes review of estimated quantities, cost of installing quantities, review of a contractors’ ability to execute work at the estimated price within the required timeframe. Often times cost effective engineering/ design does not translate into cost effective construction.
  • Construction Management – includes a thorough review of execution plans and timeframes (prior to execution) as well as directing engineering firms and construction firms on a daily basis during execution.
  • Master Schedule Development & Management – includes management and integration of all engineering and general contractor schedules. These schedules are combined and logically tied together within a master schedule to present the entire “picture” of the project. The master schedule is used to update all phases of the project, forecast time, durations, and resources.
  • Cost Budgeting, Tracking, Forecasting, & Earned Value Management (EVM) – includes cost management for all phases of the project. Forecasting techniques include EVM for cost and Earned Schedule (ES) for time.
  • Document Control & Change Management – arguably one of the most important aspects of any project is documenting drawing revisions, engineering changes, and change orders. All changes and drawing revisions are reviewed for schedule and cost impacts and tracked accordingly.
  • Field Engineering – includes resolving unforeseen constructability issues due to incomplete/ wrong engineering. These issues are reviewed in the field and resolved through a formal request for information (RFI) process.
